Jonathan Glatzer biography and movies
Glatzer's first feature film as director, co-writer and producer, What Goes Up was theatrically released by Sony Pictures in the Summer of 2009. Andrew O'Hehir (Salon.com) said, 'Jonathan Glatzer handles his talented cast well. The movie is dark, droll and sentimental in the right proportions.' In 2008, along with Robert Lawson, Glatzer created, Tyler's Gap, a pilot for ABC Studios and Fox Television for which David Duchovney and Rob Bowman were executive producers. He has also worked as a writer for Warner Brothers, Good Machine and Industry Entertainment. He began his career in theatre as a director, staging productions at such venues as The Oxford Playhouse in England, The Shakespeare Theatre in Washington D.C. and The Ensemble Studio Theatre in New York. He attended Columbia University's Film School where his short, Prix Fixe, starring screenwriting Oscar nominee Douglas McGrath and Tim Blake Nelson won the best film award. He is a screenwriting fellow at The MacDowell Colony and has taught workshops in writing, directing and acting at Georgetown University and Colgate University.
