Joshua Close biography and movies
Joshua Close was born on 31 August 1981 in Oakville, Ontario. He attended Iroquois Ridge High School, where he began acting in his senior year. He graduated in 2000.Attended Circle In The Square Theater School in New York.After appearing in Guest Spots on television and Independent films around Canada, Close landed a small supporting part in 'K:19: The Widowmaker' alongside Harrison Ford and Liam Neeson. Directed by Kathryn Bigelow.Soon after came 'Twist', a modern-day adaptation of the Charles Dickens classic 'Oliver Twist', where Close played 'Oliver' opposite Nick Stahl. The film garnered praise amongst the industry and critics at Venice, TIFF and Rotterdam International Film Festival.Since then Close has gone on to appear in several more notable films and television series/mini-series.Filming 'The Unusuals' for ABC/SONY alongside Jeremy Renner and Adam Goldberg.Recently wrapped a supporting part in the Steven Spielberg produced mini-series, 'The Pacific' for HBO.
