WWII in HD is a 10-episode American miniseries that focuses on World War II and airs on History. The documentary focuses on the lives of twelve American servicemembers, including an Army nurse, a
member of the Tuskegee Airmen, a second generation Japanese American and prisoner of war, and an Austrian Jew immigrant, who experienced the war firsthand. The twelve members recorded their time in
both theaters and some had later interviews; film from the battlefield that was found was paired with the stories of the twelve servicemembers.
The episodes premiered on five consecutive nights, 2 episodes per night, from November 15 to November 19, 2009 on History. The series is narrated by Gary Sinise and was produced in Easton,
Pennsylvania, USA by Lou Reda Productions.
